AI steps in: can computers help doctors spot lung problems on X-Rays?

NCT ID NCT06075836

Summary

This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool could help healthcare professionals read chest X-rays more accurately, quickly, and confidently. Thirty-three doctors and radiographers reviewed 500 past chest X-rays, first on their own and then with the AI's help, to see if it improved their performance. The goal was to see if this technology could assist doctors in emergency and general medicine who regularly need to interpret these images.
