This observational study looks at whether the rate of fresh gas flow during general anesthesia influences how well the lungs stay open during and after septoplasty, a surgery to correct a deviated nasal septum. Researchers will compare two routine gas flow rates (1 L/min vs. 3 L/min) and track lung aeration using a lung ultrasound score at several points around the operation. The goal is to see if a lower gas flow might help reduce the mild lung collapse (atelectasis) that can occur under anesthesia.
