One-Day Mind-Body workshop aims to help veterans reclaim life from chronic gut and mental health struggles

Summary
This study is testing a brief, one-day therapy workshop designed to help Veterans who have both inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's or colitis) and a mental health condition like depression or anxiety. The workshop uses acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to teach coping skills, aiming to improve quality of life and social functioning. It will be offered to 50 Veterans as part of their regular gastroenterology clinic care to see if it is practical and helpful.
