New online tool aims to ease tough transition for teens with diabetes

Summary
This study tests whether an online training and peer support platform, called Support-t, can help teenagers with type 1 diabetes prepare for the move from pediatric to adult healthcare. About 200 teens aged 14-16 will either receive usual care or also get access to the platform. Researchers will track blood sugar control (HbA1c) and other health measures over 18 months to see if the platform improves outcomes.
