Belly fat may help fight brain tumors
NCT ID NCT04222309
First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a new surgery for people with a returning brain tumor called glioblastoma. Doctors remove the tumor and then place a piece of tissue from the patient's belly into the empty space. The goal is to see if this is safe and can help deliver treatments past the brain's natural barrier. Only 10 patients will take part, and they will be watched closely for side effects.
