Scientists investigate immune cells as hidden players in migraine

NCT ID NCT06426316

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at how the immune system and inflammation might be involved in migraine. Researchers will compare levels of certain immune cells and inflammatory markers in 396 women with and without migraine, some of whom also have autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis or rheumatoid arthritis. The goal is to better understand what causes migraine, not to test a new treatment.
