NCT ID NCT07193719
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests whether a personalized lung inflation technique can improve heart and lung function in two groups of children on breathing machines: those recovering from heart surgery and those with severe respiratory failure. Researchers will measure how well the lungs and heart work together, and whether the technique reduces time on a ventilator or the need for advanced life support. About 80 children will take part, and the goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage breathing support.
