New heart procedure aims to cut hospital visits

NCT ID NCT07214376

Summary

This study is testing a catheter-based procedure called pulmonary artery denervation (PADN) for people with heart failure and high blood pressure in their lungs. It aims to see if adding this procedure to standard heart failure medications is safer and more effective at preventing major heart problems than medications alone. About 750 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the real procedure or a placebo procedure and will be followed for three years.
