Summary
This study looks at how to best measure confusion and memory problems that some older people experience after major surgery. Researchers will ask 40 patients aged 70 and older to do memory tests and give blood samples before and after their operation. The goal is to see if these methods work well, so they can plan a larger study to make surgery safer for the brain.
