Immune cells engineered to hunt brain tumors in first human test

NCT ID NCT07480941

First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests a new treatment for adults with glioblastoma or high-grade glioma that has come back after standard therapy. The treatment uses specially engineered natural killer (NK) cells designed to target two different markers on tumor cells at once, which may help prevent the cancer from escaping. Up to 36 participants will receive the cells directly into the brain, and the study aims to find the safest dose and check for side effects.
