Which bone graft works best for saving your jawbone after a tooth pull?

NCT ID NCT06722482

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares two common bone graft materials (freeze-dried human bone and cow bone with collagen) used to preserve the jawbone after removing a front tooth. About 50 adults who need a front tooth pulled and plan to get a dental implant will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two graft materials. The main goal is to see which material better maintains bone width and height after 16 weeks of healing, helping improve the success of future dental implants.
