Antibiotic trial for endometriosis pain halted early
Symptom relief TerminatedThis study aimed to see if a low dose of the antibiotic metronidazole could reduce pain after surgery for endometriosis. About 78 women aged 18-50 who were scheduled for endometriosis surgery took either the drug or a placebo. The trial was stopped early, so results are limited.
