Summary

This study tested whether a single infusion of zoledronic acid can prevent bone and muscle loss in adults aged 35 and older who are undergoing bariatric surgery. Fifty-nine participants were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal was to measure changes in spine bone density using a special CT scan.
