New program aims to help veterans with mental illness succeed at work

Summary

This study is testing a new social skills training program designed to help Veterans with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, or PTSD improve their work relationships and job performance. The program combines group training with one-on-one coaching from a therapist and an employment specialist. Researchers will enroll 20 Veterans to see if the program is acceptable and practical to use alongside supported employment services.
