Summary
This study tested whether a wearable sensor can detect changes in knee joint loading after a small amount of fluid is injected into the knee (simulating injury). Fourteen healthy adults aged 18-35 participated. Researchers measured walking patterns, muscle activity, and balance before and after the injection. The goal was to see if an inexpensive, publicly available sensor could spot biomechanical changes, which could help monitor knee injuries and osteoarthritis in the future.
