First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether virtual reality (VR) therapy or a simple deep rest relaxation technique can help older adults feel less stressed and recover better after hip or knee replacement surgery. About 90 people aged 60 and older who had surgery in the past 3 months will try one of these methods alongside their usual rehab. The goal is to see which approach works best for easing anxiety and improving mobility.
