First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at over 36,000 adults in the UK to see if people with vitiligo are more likely to have mental health problems like depression, anxiety, or self-harm compared to those without vitiligo. Researchers used medical records to compare risks and also checked if these risks differ by ethnicity. The goal was to better understand the emotional challenges people with vitiligo may face.
