NCT ID NCT05971446
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether eye function tests can help predict future development in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), a type of brain injury. Researchers will compare eye test results between healthy babies and those with HIE to see if these tests can improve diagnosis and treatment. About 125 babies will participate, undergoing up to two eye exam sessions.
