First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested whether a 5-minute calming virtual reality (VR) experience can lower blood pressure and anxiety in adults whose blood pressure rises in a clinic setting (white coat hypertension). 79 participants had their blood pressure and anxiety measured before and after the VR session. The goal was to see if VR could make clinic visits less stressful and provide more accurate blood pressure readings.
