First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset during knee or hip surgery can help patients feel less anxious and reduce the need for sedating drugs. About 50 adults will use VR along with their usual nerve-block anesthesia. The goal is to see if VR improves the surgical experience and lowers medication side effects.
