Nickel allergy and knee implants: no difference found?

NCT ID NCT04058743

First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at people with a nickel allergy who had knee replacement surgery. It compared those who got standard implants to those who got nickel-free ones. The goal was to see if nickel allergy affects how well the knee works after surgery. The study was stopped early and only included 9 people, so results are limited.
