Major study to test if video laryngoscopes improve First-Attempt success in Kids' intubation

NCT ID NCT07495436

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two ways doctors place a breathing tube in children during surgery: using a video laryngoscope (camera) versus a direct laryngoscope (no camera). It aims to see which method leads to success on the first try, reducing risks like low oxygen or injury. About 5,562 children aged 0-16 years having scheduled surgery will take part.
