Video lessons boost kidney transplant knowledge, study finds
NCT ID NCT05154773
First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether a video-based education program (KidneyTIME) helps people with kidney failure learn more about getting a kidney from a living donor. Over 400 adults waiting for a kidney transplant were split into two groups: one received the video program plus usual care, the other only usual care. Researchers tracked how many living-donor inquiries were made and how much patients knew about living-donor transplants over 12 months.
