NCT ID NCT07350473
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a home-based vibrating calf device can help adults with type-2 diabetes improve blood sugar control. 305 participants in Saudi Arabia will be assigned to active vibration, a sham device, or usual care for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if vibration-assisted seated calf raises lower HbA1c levels.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
localized vibration device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, home-based way for people with type-2 diabetes to improve blood sugar control without needing to stand or walk.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage trial with no phase, so results are uncertain. The vibration may not improve blood sugar more than placebo, and the effect may be small.
