First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study is testing a computer decision-support tool that helps doctors choose the best ventilator settings for children with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a serious lung condition. Up to 180 children on breathing machines will be enrolled across multiple hospitals. The goal is to see if the tool can be easily used in different hospitals and if doctors follow its advice, which could lead to shorter time on the ventilator and better outcomes.
