First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a new pulsed field ablation system (VARIPULSE catheter and TRUPULSE generator) with updated software in 50 adults with persistent atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm lasting over 7 days). The goal is to see how well the system works during the procedure, including how long it takes and how many energy applications are needed. Participants must have failed at least one heart rhythm medication. The study does not aim to cure AFib but to improve the procedure's efficiency and safety.
