First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests a non-invasive method called auricular transcutaneous vagal nerve stimulation (taVNS) to see how it changes brain activity and stomach function in people with functional dyspepsia (indigestion) and gastroparesis (delayed stomach emptying). Researchers will use brain scans and stomach electrical recordings to measure effects. The goal is to understand how this nerve stimulation works, not to provide a treatment.
