Scientists track Body's hidden battle against breast cancer during treatment

NCT ID NCT04517838

Summary

This study aims to understand how the immune system reacts during standard treatments for HER2-positive breast cancer. Researchers will collect blood and tissue samples from 230 patients with stage I-IV breast cancer who are receiving or have received anti-HER2 drugs like trastuzumab. By analyzing these samples, they hope to learn how the body's natural defenses work alongside these medications, which could help improve future cancer therapies.
