First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using both lung and brain ultrasound can help doctors choose the best breathing machine pressure for critically ill patients who have both acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and acute brain injury. The goal is to find a pressure that helps the lungs without harming the brain. About 30 adults in the ICU will take part, and researchers will compare different pressure levels and their effects on recovery.
