Summary
This study tested two common pain relievers for sudden low back pain: a topical gel (diclofenac) and oral pills (ibuprofen). 198 adults from the emergency department were randomly assigned to receive one or both treatments. Researchers measured how much pain affected daily activities after 2 days and again after 7 days to see which approach worked best.
