First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how to best prevent dangerous blood clots in people who have a leg cast or splint after an injury. Over 10,000 participants will be split into high- and low-risk groups. High-risk patients will get either tablets or injections, while low-risk patients may get tablets, injections, or no medication. The goal is to find the safest and most cost-effective way to prevent clots.
