Aging clues in cells may unlock fertility secrets for women after failed IVF

NCT ID NCT07404969

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether measuring telomeres—parts of our cells linked to aging—can help explain why some women still can't get pregnant even after fertility treatments. Fifteen women aged 25 to 42 will get blood tests to check their biological age, then receive a personalized plan combining traditional Chinese medicine, nutrition, and standard fertility care. The goal is to see if this approach improves pregnancy rates and reveals new insights into unexplained infertility.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could lead to a personalized approach to improve pregnancy chances in women with unexplained infertility after failed fertility treatments.

What could go wrong

This is a very small early study with only 15 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The integrative approach may not improve pregnancy rates.
