Smart pens and telemedicine aim to tame diabetes in veterans

Summary

This study tests whether using smart insulin pens along with continuous glucose monitors and telemedicine can help veterans with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar compared to traditional insulin pens. About 50 adults on multiple daily insulin injections will take part. The goal is to see if this high-tech approach leads to lower HbA1c levels and improved health outcomes.
