First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether music therapy delivered over video calls is a practical way to help blood cancer survivors who have trouble with memory, attention, and thinking. Researchers will enroll 60 adults who have had lymphoma, leukemia, or myeloma. Participants will either receive music therapy or music education sessions once a week for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if people can stick with the program, but the study will also look at whether it improves thinking, mood, and fatigue.

What this could lead to
If this works, it could point toward a practical, home-based treatment to help blood cancer survivors with memory, attention, and thinking problems.
What could go wrong
This is a very early pilot study with only 60 people. It is testing if the approach is practical, not yet if it works. The results may not apply to everyone.
