First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether technology and caregiver support can help liver transplant recipients take their medications correctly. Participants will use a system called Way to Health, which includes text messages and online tools, to improve medication adherence and health outcomes.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
behavioral intervention using the Way to Health system
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a practical, tech-based strategy to help liver transplant patients stick to their medication schedule, potentially reducing complications and improving long-term health.
What could go wrong
This is a behavioral study, not a drug trial, so it won't directly treat the disease. Results depend on patient engagement and may not apply to all populations or settings.
