This study looks at whether jaundice, a yellowing of the skin and eyes, makes people with cirrhosis more likely to develop infections while in the hospital. Researchers will follow 250 Egyptian patients with cirrhosis to see if those with jaundice get more hospital-acquired infections and how that affects their recovery.
