NCT ID NCT04574518

First seen Nov 01, 2025

Summary

This study tests whether a personalized letter and proactive phone calls can help veterans with a newly diagnosed lung nodule quit smoking. The program uses the diagnosis as a 'teachable moment' to motivate quitting. Researchers will compare how many veterans use cessation services and quit smoking after one year versus those who receive standard information.
