Summary

This study tested a teaching program to improve nurses' knowledge and practice of infection control for patients having a type of kidney stone surgery called percutaneous nephrolithotomy. Thirty nurses who provide care before, during, and after the surgery took part. The goal was to see if the training helps reduce infections and shorten hospital stays.
