Summary

This study tested a teaching program to improve nurses' knowledge and practice of infection control for patients having a procedure called percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) to remove kidney stones. Thirty nurses who care for these patients took part. The goal was to see if the training helps reduce infections and shorten hospital stays.
