First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether using the 'teach-back' method—where patients repeat back what they've learned—improves understanding and reduces readmissions after same-day anal fistula surgery. Half of the 76 participants will get this interactive education, while the other half receives standard instructions. Researchers will compare readmission rates and satisfaction scores over 30 days.
