New brain scan study seeks clues to Alzheimer's in african american seniors

Summary
This study uses a special PET scan to measure tau protein buildup in the brains of healthy older African Americans. The goal is to learn how these brain changes relate to normal aging versus early Alzheimer's disease. Participants are already part of a long-term study and will have one additional scan session.
