Liquid biopsy may predict bladder cancer outcomes, new study hopes

NCT ID NCT07581496

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is looking at whether tiny bits of tumor DNA (ctDNA) found in blood or urine can help doctors better understand and predict the course of a high-risk type of bladder cancer called T1G3. About 35 adults with this cancer will provide samples before, during, and after treatment. The goal is to see if ctDNA can tell which patients need more aggressive therapy and which can avoid it, potentially reducing unnecessary surgeries and side effects.
