New therapy aims to save young lives by fixing sleep and brain patterns
NCT ID NCT05317481
Summary
This Yale University study tested a new therapy designed to prevent suicide in adolescents and young adults with depression or bipolar disorder. The therapy teaches self-help strategies to create more regular daily routines, especially for sleep, with the goal of improving brain circuits involved in emotional control. Researchers compared this new approach to a standard educational program in 65 participants to see if it better reduced suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
