New hope for 'Medium Vessel' strokes where current treatments fail

NCT ID NCT07185022

Summary

This study is testing whether delivering a clot-busting drug directly into a blocked brain artery can help people who have had a stroke caused by a blockage in a medium-sized vessel. About 282 adults who have had this specific type of stroke will be randomly assigned to receive either the best standard medical care alone, or that care plus the direct artery treatment. The main goal is to see if adding this procedure leads to better recovery and less disability 90 days after the stroke.
