First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether a drug called Pedmark (sodium thiosulfate) can reduce hearing loss in adults receiving cisplatin chemotherapy for cancers like testicular, head and neck, or thoracic cancer. About 25 adults will receive Pedmark alongside their standard chemo to see if it protects their hearing. The drug is already approved for children, but this trial aims to confirm its safety and effectiveness in adults.
