New app aims to ease ostomy care for cancer patients

This study tested a web-based app called STOMA Care to see if it is practical and helpful for bladder or colorectal cancer patients getting ostomy surgery and their family caregivers. Researchers measured how well the app worked by tracking recruitment, retention, and changes in stoma knowledge and quality of life. The goal was to understand if such a digital tool could support patients and caregivers in managing ostomy care at home.
