First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a smaller ureteral stent after kidney stone surgery reduces pain and discomfort. About 100 adults who need a stent on a string after their procedure will rate their pain daily until the stent is removed (usually 7-14 days). The goal is to find the best stent size to improve recovery and reduce the need for extra pain medication.
