First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to prepare patients with leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes for a donor stem cell transplant. It combines a precise type of radiation (helical tomotherapy) with two chemotherapy drugs (fludarabine and melphalan) to kill cancer cells and prevent rejection of the donor cells. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and helps patients survive longer. The study involves 75 participants and is in early phases (1 and 2).
