Ultrasound breakthrough could replace risky brain biopsies

NCT ID NCT05281731

Summary

This study is testing a new noninvasive method called 'sonobiopsy' that uses focused ultrasound to help detect genetic markers from brain tumors in blood samples. Researchers want to see if this approach can provide detailed information about glioblastoma tumors without requiring additional invasive procedures. The goal is to help doctors better understand each patient's specific tumor characteristics to personalize treatment plans.
