NCT ID NCT01990079
First seen May 21, 2026 ยท Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app could help people with PTSD quit smoking and avoid relapsing. Participants received counseling, stop-smoking medications, and a mobile app that rewarded them for not smoking. The study enrolled 15 adults who smoked at least 10 cigarettes a day and had PTSD. Researchers compared the app-based program to a similar program without the app to see which worked better.
