First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a smartphone app to standard dietitian visits helps people prepare for weight-loss surgery. Forty adults who were candidates for bariatric surgery took part. Half used the app, and half did not. Researchers measured changes in nutrition knowledge, weight, body composition, and other health factors before and up to two years after surgery.
